Its antifreeze action is provided by the toxicologically harmless 1.2-propylene glycol. “Ekofritherm” also contains corrosion inhibitors that protect the metals of the cooling and heating systems, even in combined systems, permanently against corrosion and prevent the formation of boiler scale. Suitable in use with all standard seal materials.

Do not use the product in galvanized pipelines as all glycol/water mix-tures can dissolve zinc and precipitate as zinc glycolate. The “Ekofritherm” concentration of a cooling brine or heat transfer medium should therefore be at least 25 % v/v. Such a solution is resistant to freezing down to -10 °C. Below this concentration in the brine exists the danger of bacterium, alga and fungi growth and microbial induced corrosion. Ekofritherm is miscible with all commercial heat transfer fluids based on propylene glycol. Ekofritherm has a storage stability of at least three years, if stored in closed original packaging. Ekofritherm is produced as a finished product or as a concentrate.
Ekofritherm is supplied in 10, 25 L canisters, 210 L plastic drums and in 1000 L IBC..
